Training opportunity for PhD students: international 5-module training on digital food quality evaluation methods!
“FOOD Quality in Digital Age” Project Consortium kindly invites PhD students of the following Universities:
- University of Life Sciences in Lublin (Poland),
- Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic),
- University of Belgrade (Serbia),
- Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia)
- Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary),
to submit their application to the international 5-module training on digital food quality evaluation methods! The training will be a great opportunity to learn about the innovative food quality evaluation methods, exchange knowledge and establish valuable interpersonal links. Each module will be taught by one Partner University, expert in the field, during a study visit:
- 3D food printing (Feb. 27th – March 2nd, 2023, Mendel University in Brno)
- Non-destructive analytical methods for food quality evaluation (Jun. 7th – 10th, 2023, Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Budapest)
- Computer vision system (Sept. 25th – 28th, 2023, University of Belgrade)
- Methodology of electronic eye (March, 19th – 22nd, 2024, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra)
- Surface analysis and textural/rheological properties of food product (May, 27th – 30th, 2024, University of Life Sciences in Lublin).
The travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses will be covered by the Project.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Applications will be evaluated by the “FOOD Quality in Digital Age” Project Consortium based on the following criteria: application completeness; candidate's previous research activity, scientific achievements, interests and motivation. Preference will be given to candidates who will confirm their availability to take part in all 5 modules of the trainings.
The Project Consortium will invite 2 PhD students from each participating University to take part in the training. A reserve list will be created. The selected candidates will be informed at the beginning of February.
